1000L Computer Controlled Semicontinuous Centrifugal Separator

The Computer Controlled and Touch Screen 1000 l Semicontinuous Centrifugal Separator, “SCS/1000/CTS”, is able to show, for further research and study, the obtaining of lignin from lignocellulosic biomass.

Description

The Computer Controlled 1000L Semicontinuous Centrifugal Separator (“SCS/1000/CTS”) is designed for research and study of lignin extraction from lignocellulosic biomass.

Key Features:

  1. Components:
    • A tubular centrifuge
    • A pump
    • A feed tank
  2. Process:
    • The mixture is fed into the feed tank, then pumped into the tubular centrifuge.
    • The centrifugal force generated by the rotating cylinder causes the heavier phase to move towards the outer walls of the cylinder.
    • The lignin-free mixture (without solids) is extracted through the upper part of the unit via overflow.
  3. Operating Conditions:
    • The process occurs at ambient temperature, as lignin behaves like rubber at higher temperatures, making separation more difficult.
  4. Control System:
    • This unit is equipped with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), which includes software packages for computer control, data acquisition, and data management, enabling control of the process and all involved parameters.

This system is ideal for conducting precise, controlled research on lignin extraction.
