Barometric Pressure Sensor

Description

Barometric pressure sensors are pressure sensors that measure changes in atmospheric pressure. They detect variations in atmospheric pressure by the deformation of the diaphragm (a flexible, thin circular membrane) and attached strain gauges which convert the change into an electrical signal. Barometric pressure sensors (also known as atmospheric pressure sensors) measure absolute air pressure relative to a reference of a zero-pressure vacuum.

Applied Measurements barometric pressure sensors Pa600B measure absolute pressure and are designed for the measurement of atmospheric pressure fluctuations. Applied Measurements barometric pressure sensors are ideal for weather applications, including weather forecasting, where pressure changes in the atmosphere need to be monitored.

Barometric Pressure Sensor Applications Include:

  • Weather Applications
  • Weather Forecasting
  • Atmospheric Changes
  • Altitude Compensation
  • Altimeters
  • Remote Weather Stations

Constructed from stainless steel, and available with a variety of process connections, these barometric pressure sensors are designed to withstand humidity, precipitation, and water ingress.
