Description
The Computer Controlled Axial Pump Bench, “PBAC”, has been designed by EDIBON to study this type of pumps. It is a bench-top unit that consists of a computer controlled axial pump, a water tank and circulation pipes with a flow regulation valve. Besides, it includes the control elements required for the pump’s testing: two pressure sensors and one flow sensor.
A frequency inverter for the pump, computer controlled, provides the possibility of regulation and measuring the pump motor speed, as well as the measurement of the torque transferred.
The pump is installed in a system of pipes. As the circuit is closed, it prevents a continuous waste of water when working with it.
The Computer Controlled Axial Pump Bench, “PBAC”, unit has instrumentation and sensors to allow the measurement, from the computer, of the most typical parameters of the pumps:
- Motor turn speed.
- Total impelled flow.
- The admission and discharge pressure.
- Torque.
- Calculated values:
- Total height.
- Hydraulic and mechanic power.
- Efficiency.
This Computer Controlled Unit is supplied with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), and includes: The unit itself + a Control Interface Box + a Data Acquisition Board + Computer Control, Data Acquisition and Data Management Software Packages, for controlling the process and all parameters involved in the process.
