Description

The Wind Power Plants with Double Feed Induction Generator Application, “AEL-WPP,” is designed to study the design and operation of modern wind power stations. It includes a prime motor that drives a double-feed induction generator, simulating the generator used in a wind power plant.

The system is equipped with a SCADA Control System, which offers the following features:

  1. Wind Curve Configuration and Control: The SCADA software allows the user to set the desired wind curve for the experiment. Once configured and the experiment is started, the software automatically adjusts the “AEL-SERIN/CA-1K” motor to generate the same wind curve.
  2. Real-Time Monitoring: The SCADA system displays key signals such as rotor current, stator current, line voltage, and DC bus voltage of the back-to-back inverter. It also shows important measurements like rotor active power, reactive power, stator active and reactive power, total active and reactive power, and generator shaft speed.
  3. Data Analysis and Saving: The software allows users to save experiment data and analyze the results using a built-in data visualizer. The saved data is compatible with Microsoft Excel for further analysis.
  4. Voltage Dip Simulation: The SCADA software can simulate voltage dips (20%, 40%, or 60%) in the electrical network supplying the generator. Users can specify the duration of the voltage dip. This simulation helps users understand the behavior of wind turbines under voltage fluctuations, ensuring no harm to the machine during the process.

This unit comes with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), which includes:

  • The unit itself
  • Computer Control, Data Acquisition, and Data Management Software Packages

These tools are used to control the process and monitor all parameters involved in the operation.
