Description
The Photovoltaic Application with Connection to Grid, “AEL-PHVG”, has been designed by EDIBON to study the energy production by photovoltaic panels and how this energy is injected to the grid.
In order to learn about solar energy production, the AEL-PHVG includes a programmable power supply which emulates an array of photovoltaic panels connected to the three-phase grid inverter. The grid inverter can be programmed by the user to create different conditions in the management of the energy of the photovoltaic panels. Besides, this inverter allows realice a dynamic power control with energy injected into the grid and, for this reason, this application is compatible with any EDIBON´s Smart Grid application. On the other hand, it is recommended to acquire the real photovoltaic panel and movile halogen lamps panel in order to study the photovoltaic panel characteristics. The movile lamps panel includes a current regulator to simulate solar radiance variations. It is recommended to acquire the variable resistor module and the multimeters to realice load test in the photovoltaic panel.
This application can work together other power generation sources to study the energy mix, their advantages and problems developed when alternate sources are interconnected into a power system.
This application can be combined with other applications of generation, transmission/distribution and load systems areas.
