Description
The Computer Controlled Advanced Power Electronics Application, “AE-PEC”, includes various modules that allow exploration of different aspects of power electronics. The modular design of this application ensures flexibility and adaptability to various educational and research needs. Each module is equipped with the necessary components and detailed manuals to facilitate effective learning and the development of research projects.
The application is built with an intuitive interface that allows for easy integration and interaction between the different modules. Each module can be independently controlled and monitored, providing a dynamic environment for experimenting with power electronics circuits and concepts, as well as for advanced research in this field.
The educational and research objectives of each kit are described below:
- DCDC-KIT. DC/DC Conversion Kit. Allows the study of both isolated and non-isolated DC/DC conversion in direct current systems.
- ACDC/U-KIT. AC/DC Conversion Kit with Uncontrolled Rectification. Designed to analyze uncontrolled rectification in three-phase and single-phase systems, covering both half-wave and full-wave rectification, including capacitor-based filtering.
- ACDC/C-KIT. Conversion Kit with Controlled Rectification. Facilitates the analysis of controlled rectification in three-phase and single-phase systems, including both half-wave and full-wave configurations.
- N-DCAC. Single-phase and Three-phase AC/DC Conversion Module. Offers the ability to study various DC/AC conversion methods, such as phase shifting, square waves, and PWM, in both single-phase and three-phase configurations.
- ACAC-KIT. AC/AC Conversion Kit. Focuses on studying AC/AC conversion using a triac. It includes both basic applications of the triac and its implementation in a control circuit with dual time constants, allowing for adjustment of firing delay (angle) to control load power.
- ACDCAC-KIT. AC/DC/AC Conversion Kit (Frequency or Cycle Converter). This kit explores how to transform one AC voltage into another with a different frequency and amplitude by passing through an intermediate DC stage.
- CCR-DCM-KIT. AC/DC Conversion Kit with Controlled Rectification and DC/DC: DC Motor Control. Designed to study controlled AC/DC rectification and DC/DC conversion, applied to speed control of DC motors with voltages of 12V and 200V.
- C-ACM-KIT. AC/DC/AC Conversion Kit: Three-Phase AC Motor Control. Enables the analysis of AC/DC/AC conversion, focusing on speed control of three-phase AC motors with a voltage of 220V.
This Computer Controlled Unit is supplied with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), and includes: The unit itself + Computer Control, Data Acquisition and Data Management Software Packages, for controlling the process and all parameters involved in the process.
