Computer Controlled Automotive Hybrid Simulation Unit

The Computer Controlled Automotive Hybrid Simulation Unit, “AV-HYB”, has been designed by EDIBON to study and analyze the operation of the hybrid vehicle through the different forms of combination of the energy sources it uses.

Description

The Computer Controlled Automotive Hybrid Simulation Unit, “AV-HYB”, has been designed by EDIBON to study and analyze the operationof the hybrid vehicle through the different forms of combination of the energy sources it uses. For this purpose, the unit consists of severalsimulation panels that explain the operation of hybrid vehicles with LPG engines, engines running on biofuels and gasoline-electric engines.

  • Gasoline-Electric Hybrid Vehicle Panel: This two sources are highly compatible, so the hybrid vehicle draws on the advantages of each of them and, at the same time, compensates for the disadvantages of the other. The “AV-HYB” unit offers various training levels that will provide the user with the knowledge and the essential skills about the main operation and function principles of hybrid vehicles (with gasoline-electric engine). For this purpose, the application includes a simulation panel (hardware and software) and a specific manual explaining the aspects related to these systems. This will allow the study and analysis of the combination of an electric engine and a fuel engine and to verify its high compatibility, as well as its architecture and operation. In addition, very important aspects are studied such as the set of batteries used, their removal and the high voltage systems used in the hybrid vehicle.
  • LPG Hybrid Vehicle Panel: The use of LPG fuel means an economic saving since its price is much lower than that of gasoline. This type of hybrid vehicle allows both energy sources to be used, thus significantly reducing pollution. The “AV-HYB” unit offers various training levels that will provide the user with the knowledge and the essential skills about the main operation and function principles of LPG hybrid vehicles. For this purpose, the application includes a simulation panel (hardware and software) and a specific manual explaining the aspects related to these systems. This will allow the study and analysis of the architecture and operation of the LPG motor vehicle, the process of gasoline and LPG sequential injection, the set of batteries used in hybrid systems, as well as the study of the complete maintenance of this type of vehicles, etc.
  • Biofuel Hybrid Vehicle Panel: The biofuel is obtained from organic substances, and is often used in conjunction with gasoline engines, thus reducing the level of CO2 emissions and providing greater economic savings. The “AV-HYB” unit offers various training levels that will provide the user with the knowledge and the essential skills about the main operation and function principles of biofuel hybrid vehicles. For this purpose, the application includes a simulation panel (hardware and software) and a specific manual explaining the aspects related to these systems. This will allow the study and analysis of the architecture and operation of the biofuel hybrid vehicle, the sequential injection of gasoline and biofuel, the set of batteries used in this type of systems, the process of removing them, the maintenance of this type of vehicles, etc.

This Computer Controlled Unit is supplied with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), and includes: The unit itself + a Data Acquisition Board + Data Acquisition and Data Management Software Packages, for controlling the process and all parameters involved in the process.
