Description
The STS4 Wireless Base Station Data Acquisition (STS4-WBS) is the central communication hub between the user’s PC running STS-LIVE and all other STS4 components.
The STS4 WBS Data Acquisition is a battery-powered wireless Access Point with an integrated Ethernet switch for backup wired communication. The Base Station is necessary to generate the STS wireless network that all the STS4 wireless nodes communicate with. This network is also used for connecting the computer that is operating the STS-LIVE application.
All components of this system have been designed to meet the rough field conditions that exist for most projects. Mounting the system on the tripod allows the entire assembly to be quickly moved around in rough ground conditions so that the wireless signal is optimized.
